The Clown Who Lost His Memory (2006), updated 2020

The Clown Who Lost His Memory is an interactive biography of variety entertainer Irving Pollard. It is told on the Sway Doc (above left) The GoogleDoc files (below) feature critical writing on the project with reference to Clowning practices, Museum Interpretation and Digital Curation.  You can also visit the performance sites from The Pollard Trail and listen to an Audio Tour on the Google Map (above right). 

Richard Talbot worked with long-term collaborator Carran Waterfield, and the friends and family of Pollard, plus a group of clowning performers and community participants to create an interpretation in performance, screenings, talks and tours. This took place in and around Primrose Hill Street, Hillfields, Coventry. This was a collaboration with staff at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Coventry.
